When the new style of used Mini cars first came into being the market reacted with great admiration. This was a new breed of Mini that was very much previously a fashion / automotive icon of the 1960’s. The Cooper is available in three different models; the standard Coupe version, the Convertible and the Cooper S, which is the most sporty of the three. Regarding the Convertible, it has many attributes that have now made it a firm favourite. It offers a top speed of 123 miles per hour, a 0 to 60 mph acceleration rate of 9.8 seconds and provides 49.6 miles to the gallon. BMW Mini themselves say that the car provides adrenaline from the very beginning and it would be hard to disagree with such a statement. With the Mini’s six speed gearbox, driving in comfort is a given and this is also one of the main reasons for its rather impressive MPG rates. With German influence the MINI Cooper Convertible also offers excellent handling that adds to the overall driving experience and really does provide total separation from the original used Mini of old. Of course there are not many similarities between the new and its predecessor, but what has remained is the Mini charisma and attitude, which has contributed to the unit being so popular for so long. As for the Convertible, well this is very much a different entity altogether when compared to the original, but nonetheless, this too has maintained the original Mini style.
