Has anyone else seen the amount of accessories you can get nowadays when buying new vans? There are an enormous amount of things that can be bought when specifying the exact needs for your van purchase. Earlier, I went down to my local Mercedes van dealership with the hope of buying a brand spanking new vehicle from them. In fact, within only ten minutes, I found the ideal van parked on one of the loading bays. Before I knew it – I was having a cup of tea with a very nice young lady who was telling me more information about the van in question. Eventually we got down to the nitty gritty of costs and “added extras”. By the time I had told her what add-ons that I would like to be included with the purchase, I had added around £5,000 extra on to the actual vehicle price! I couldn’t believe it. All I could remember was ticking the ‘blue tooth connector’ and ‘alloy wheels’ boxes. To think that I had come with such a simple task; to buy a new van for my new line of work, which involves carrying big loads of scrap metal from one place to another. I had no idea that there was so much variety when it comes to van accessories. I suppose that is the issue you have when buying new. For example used vans come as they are sold. Added extras need to be just that; added. Whereas when buying new, you get to decide the functions before it is actually built by the manufacturer.
Noone can blame you. Alloy wheels are such a tempting add.
These are just toys for big boys. They cannot resist.
